These are the years I had my favorite and best English teacher. She helped me understand what I was reading on a higher level and introduced me to some of my favorite books, such as The Stranger by Albert Camus and Life of Pi by Yann Martel.

I fell out of reading for a few years. Between work and school, I just felt like I didn't have much time. It by Stephen King is the book that got me back to reading regularly.

Last year I read 50 books! This year I am already past that and hoping to reach 100 by December 31.

This year I took a creative writing class. It really helped me to not only understand how to write better, but I have already noticed that it has made me a better reader. I recognize elements of writer's style frequently.
