    some times my parents would fight I would use reading as an escape from reality. I loved the boxcar children, goosebumps, and the magic tree house books.

  • I had trouble reading aloud.

    I always had trouble reading a loud so my teachers felt like I was behind in my reading when it was mostly nerves. I got grouped in with tier 3 kids and it actually helped me read a loud.

  • attended reading events.

    This made reading really fun and enjoyable.

  • continued reading for pleasure and for school.

  • reading continued on until now.
