Reading History

  • My Mom

    My Mom
As a kid I was forced to read all the time by my mom and without her doing that I don't think I would've found my love for reading.
  • Dr. Seuss's ABC

    Dr. Seuss's ABC
I loved this kid as a book and have it saved away for my kids one day.
  • Paddington

    Paddington
This was the book that I read to my little brothers almost every night. They loved it and it helped me in reading.
  • The Glass Castle

    The Glass Castle
During Sophomore year, I had a different english teacher than more of my friends and they all were assigned to read this book. They all hated it and I wanted to see why. It ended up being my favorite book and I ended up reading all of the books written by the author.
  • The Great Gatsby

    The Great Gatsby
This book I have read over and over again and inspired me to read more. I was introduced to this book in Junior year of high school.
  • Mrs. Penrod

    Mrs. Penrod
This was the English teacher that introduced us to The Great Gatsby. The projects she gave us for all of that year really helped my understanding of the books. I really feel like I wouldn't have read as much had I not been in her class.
  • How The Grinch Stole Christmas!

    How The Grinch Stole Christmas!
In Senior year, we had a project and this book was the book we had to study and I realized and learned the deeper meaning of children's books.
