In elementary, we had to write and illustrate a story. They were published and turned into hard copy books. I included this because I had so much fun with it.

I remember learning about different types of poems and writing my own. I did not enjoy it and I still don't to this day.

I remember reading long chapter books and learning about the elements of a story, which helped me understand and predict what was happening.

I remember the first time I had to complete a project about a book, and having a lot of fun with it. At this time, I always looked forward to doing the assignments and projects for the novels we read.

I joined a book club in middle school, which exposed me to all sorts of great books. I enjoyed reading in my free time.

In high school and college, my friends recommended amazing books to me and heightened my love and interest in reading.
