My elementary school's library had a big collection of I SPY books. I was hooked on those books.

In second grade my teacher really pushed us all to read just for fun. We had lots of book fairs at our school, and I remember asking my parents to buy me a new book every week. Reading was not forced it was something I did for fun.

I remember reading my first ever big chapter book in fifth grade. The book was titled "The Man Who Was Poe" by Avi. It was over 20 chapters long and had about 200 pages. Reading it felt like a movie.
