  • William Shakespeare Romeo and Juliet

    William Shakespeare Romeo and Juliet

This is a classic play about finding love between two people who are in opposite families. I love stories or movies about people finding love anywhere and seeing them fight for it. Shakespeare's skill of story-telling and really expressing each character as their own really grew my love for reading.

    Read a book called Mediator

I was strolling through the library near my home trying to find a book to entertain myself with. I came across a book series called The Mediator by Meg Cabot. I had never seen or read the book until I was supposed to read it for a class. From start to finish, it was a lesson for young people. It added to my views on police brutality, racism, identity, and more themes. I loved the book and would read it again.
  • Book on "Hades"

    Book on "Hades"

Forget what you know about Hades and what he does in his underworld of leading the dead to their final destination. This book is sort of close to it but it also adds more about the so-called Fates. It is a romance book between a girl and "Hades" whose name is John. I couldn't put the book down and would recommend this book.
  • African American lit class

    African American lit class

This class opened my eyes to the struggles of African Americans. It also showed me how African American authors such as Zora Neale Hurston, Langston Hughes, Harrison Wells Brown, and more, struggled back then and how they overcame hardships by writing their stories for the public. I highly recommend reading their works
  • Writing

    Writing

I have had a love of books for as long as I can remember. I always respected authors who could sit down and put their thoughts into writing that I started writing a book of my own. I have all these ideas in my head it is just getting them down on paper or typing them up. But I wanted to try my hand at writing my own stories.

    Dreams of reading

You ever miss reading a really good book you have dreams about it? Sometimes I will dream I'm alone in my room and it's really quiet. The only thing you hear is the turning of a page in a book. Reading to me is just peaceful and also an escape from the real world.
