The Scarlet Letter was harder for me to read. The old language made the sentences hard for me to understand. But all the symbolism intrigued me and I liked the story line.

This book is by Iris Johansen and I read this book because it sparked my own interest. It was not assigned by the school. It was such a messed up book (with the killings and such) but kept me wanting to know more. This was a great mystery book.
