Brown v. Board of Education
The supreme court reversed the finding in plessy v. Ferguson by stating that educational facilities separated sloely on the basis or race were by nature unequal and therefore, unconstitutional. Also the Supreme Court helped the blacks in this case. -

The jim crow laws was the southern states passed laws allowing segregation separation of races. The acts and rights were just that the segreation would finally rule. -
Emancipation Priclamation
The emancipation proclamation its Washington D.C.. with victory at Antietam, Lincoln announces that all slaves in fighting. Over 23,000 casualties more than all previous american wars combined. Lee retreats to Virginia. -
Lee Surrenders
Lee surrenders the location of lee surrenders is Appomattox Court House, Virginia. Lee refusing to see his troops suffer any further, surrenders to Grant. given generous terms of surrender. -
The literacy test.
the literacy test was a test the slaves had to take when and if they wanted to have the right to vote. But although it was alot of reading tests and not written tests. -

The poll tax was very high level becasue of the literacy test. the poll tax made voters pay for when they wanted to vote. -

The sothern slaves were very deprived and thought that whatever they would do they couldnt do alot because they were not letting the slaves go until the whole war was over. -

he dies in 1865 because he was assassinated. -

Andrew jhonson was lincolns vice president in 1865 to 1867 and the only reason why jhonson took over was because lincoln was assassinated. -
