  • First people

    The indians where the first people to live in pueblo. Indians gorups lived once at the arkansas river in the 1700's.
  • El pueblo massacre

    The el pueblo trade was were the river walk is now. In 1854 el pueblo was attacked by the indians
  • Pueblo became a town under Colorado Territory

    Between march 9th and April 6th 1886, Pueblo (1870), Pueblo South (1873), Central Pueblo (1882) came together as the City of Pueblo. Bessemer originated in 1886 but didn't join Pueblo until 1894.
  • Steel Mill (Palmer)

    Between 1870's to the 1880's, Palmer had created the Steel Mill in the area of Bessemer. He even made the railroads from the U.S. to Mexico.
  • 15th Amendmant to the Constitution was passed by the House of Represntatives and Senate

    The 15th Amdendment granted African American men the right to vote. Didn't really go through until 1965 when all African Americans were allowed to vote.
  • Railroad Denver

    Palmer planned placement of the North- South railroad The railroad had access from U.S to Mexico. They braught workers from all over.
  • Mineral Palace

    Mineral Palace was Built In 1893. Silver Market Crashed and by 1986 puebloans Moved The Mineral Palace Courthouse to 215 W. 10th street. Then, Made Mineral Palace Into a Garden Park.
  • Victorian Building Boom (Thatchers)

    The Victorian Building was built , also known as the Rosemount. THe Victorian Building was the home of Jhon A. and Margrete THatcher.
  • Thomas Edison completes first Movie Studio

  • Steel MIll (Rockefeller)

    The main industry in Pueblo for most of its history was the Colorado Fuel and Iron (CF&I). The Ludlow Massacre happened after John Rockefeller puechased CF&I in 1903.

    When people different from different ethnic backgrounds came together to form a union
  • Emergency Quota Act

    Restricted Immigrants from coming into the country
  • Pueblo Flood of 1921

    In the summer of 1921 in June it rain daye it rain for three days. 250 people died in the flood. The flood was so powerful that it changed the course of the Arkansas River to it present location.
