    The Pendleton Civil Service Act helped people who were actually qualified enough for a job get that job, and not have other people get the job due to personal connections. Before, people were able to get jobs if family or friends knew each other. Thanks to this act, people qualified enough were getting the job.

    The invention of the comptometer was VERY important since people were forced to do paper and pencil math before. With this invention, people could do their math at a much faster rate.

    The Sherman Anti-Trust Act allowed forming monopolies to become illegal. This was necessary since when there were monopolies, the other side had to stop selling that product, due to the monopolies.

He has many jobs in the government, like being the Governor of New York and the Secretary of the Navy when McKinley was on his first term. He decides to run for President again but loses.

    This event was significant since this was the first plane that was flown. Since there was no plane flown before, it was very important for Americans.

    This law was extremely necessary in many ways. Before this law, many people were getting sick or even died due to diseases that animals passed on from their meat. After this law, there needed to be strict testing to ensure that humans would be safe after eating meat of any type. Another thing that happened was that there were drugs and alcohol that was being passed onto humans via food. Since there was now strict testing, humans could eat the food without suspecting anything.

    This amendment had banned alcohol, since people thought that this was causing more crimes and chaos in the country. But, even more problems were caused since alcohol was banned! People did more crimes than before and others died from poorly made alcohol. This amendment was not useful and rather made everything worse than straightening things up.

    This amendment helped women get the right to vote. Without this vote, women weren't able to vote. Thanks to this amendment, women are now able to vote.
