    Workers striked for three days about higher wages and shorter hours. This event falls under creating economic reform because it strives to form a better economy within the country and help the people win their favor over the government.

    This act allows govenrment officials to turn arid land in the twenty western states into farmable land. This falls under creating economic reform because it will help bring more money in for the people who are looking for a job. More farmable land means more farmer jobs that can be filled.

    A government department that was created to foster, promote, and develope the welfare of the workers in the U.S. This event falls under creating economic reform because the government is looking to improve the situation the the people are in.
  • United States Forest Service

    A government service that manages public land across the country, they maintain and cultivate the land for the public. This falls under creating economic reform because it will imporve the economy if there are no problems over land they are spending money on.
  • Meat Inspection Act

    The meat inspection act is an american law that ensures factories produce meat produts in a clean and sanitary environment. This event falls under promoting moral improvement because it improves the condition of where the meat is being processed.
  • Sixteenth Amendment: Progressive Income Taxes

    This Amendment allowed the United States govenment to collect income taxes from all americans. This would fall under economic reform because the government is tryng to gain money anyway they can to "reform" the community.
  • Bureau of MInes

    This bureau would perform research on the extraction, processing, use, and conservation of mineral resources that were being used during this time. This falls under fostering efficiency because if the factories knew what they were dealing with and how to deal with it means faster production of goods.
  • Children's Bureau

    A govenrment law that helps improve child abuse prevention, foster care, and adoption. This falls under creating economic reform because it will help the children of the current time be protected and grow up to be wonderful adults.
  • Revenue Act of 1913: Reduced Tarrifs

    This act lowered the tarrif rates 15% (40% to 25%). This would fall under fostering efiiciency because if more goods are able to be brought into the U.S. for a cheaper rate means that our factories could produce more goods at a cheaper rate as well.
  • System of National Parks

    A system of the federal government that manages all national parks. This event falls under social welfare because it will improve the overall environment of where people like to congregate. Keeping these clean means more frinedly encounters.
