  • Coal strike of 1902

    This was a strike by the United Mine Workers of America in eastern Pennsylvania. Miners were striking for higher wages, shorter days, and recognition of their Union. This would be creating economic reform because they want the workers to earn better rights instead of the earnings now.
  • United States Forest Service

    An agency of the U.S. Department of Agriculture that administers the nation's 154 national forest and 20 national grasslands.This is promoting moral improvement since they want to protect our environment by being kind citizens that care.
  • Meat Inspection Act

    This was a law that makes it a crime to adulterate meat and meat products being sold as food. Also ensured that the meat is slaughtered and processed under sanitary conditions. Protecting social welfare would be entitled by this because this is making sure the people are being served well and healthy food.
  • Children's Bureau

    President William Howard Taft signed into law this bill that protected the children of America from child labor and neglect. This is known as protecting social welfare because it targets a specific group of citizens from being hurt.
