  • Sherman Antitrust Act

    This act allowed the government to sue a company if it began to engage in a monopoly. This falls under economic reform, because it makes sure that businesses stay in check and don't abuse their power.

    This act authorized federal funds from public land sales to be used to pay for irrigation and land development projects. This falls under economic reform, as it involves government funding to be used for agriculture.

    In 1902, Roosevelt ended a coal strike by using arbitration. This falls under Creating Economic Reform, as Roosevelt prevented coal factories shutting down and leaving many homes unheated

    This was a policy that was established by Theodore Roosevelt. This law makes it so that America has control of corporations to keep them in check. This falls under creating economic reform.
  • Meat Inspection Act

    This act requires federal inspection of meat sold through interstate commerce and set standards for the cleanliness in meatpacking plants. This falls under Social Welfare, as it promotes a safer and cleaner food product.
  • Hepburn Act

    This act made it so that the ICC can set railroad rates. This falls under economic reform, because it makes sure that railroad industries work with the government to limit competition.

    Created to protect people from harmful drugs and food. This was created to protect social welfare, as it makes sure that people remain healthy and safe.
  • Children's Bureau

    This was an organization that was created to help protect children from abuse or neglect. This falls under promoting moral improvement, as it protects children from a hardship that could be prevalent.
  • Underwood Tariff reform

    This law was passed by Woodrow Wilson and essentialy decreases the average tariff. This made it so America was easier and more opportunistic when it came to trading.
  • Prohibition

    Prohibition was a government authorized law that banned or limited the sale of alcohol in states. This falls under promoting moral improvement, as it makes sure that people are not abusing a substance.
