  • Coal Strike of 1902

Workers striks for 3 days on higher wadges and less working out it falls under creating economical reform because they are trying to get fair compensation from big business owners like Andrew Carnegie.
  • Created Department of Commerce and Labor

it was a short-lived cabinet department of the United States government which was concerned in controlling the excesses of big businesses. I think this falls into protecting social welfare because they were trying to control big business so they wouldn't exploit the people or become bigger.
  • Meat Inspection Act

Is an American law that makes it a crime to adulterate or misbrand meat and meat products being sold as food, and ensures that meat and meat products are slaughtered and processed under sanitary conditions. this falls into protecting social welfare because the act ensures that the meat is safe for the people.
  • Food and Drug administration

The food and drug administration is responsible for protecting the public health by ensuring the safety, efficacy, and security of human and veterinary drugs, biological products, and medical devices; and by ensuring the safety of our nation's food supply, cosmetics, and products that emit radiation. This falls into protecting social welfare because they are trying to make safe foods, medication, vaccines etc. for the people.
  • Sixteenth amendment: Progressive income tax

To the United States Constitution allows the Congress to levy an income tax without apportioning it among the states or basing it on the United States Census. This is creating economic reform because it was taking money from the people.
  • Bureau of mines

agency conducting scientific research and disseminating information on the extraction, processing, use, and conservation of mineral resources. this is creating economic reform because mining was a big business.
  • Children's Bureau

The children's Bureau (CB) partners with federal, state, tribal and local agencies to improve the overall health and well-being of our nation's children and families. This falls into protecting social welfare again because they are protecting and keeping safe families and children.
  • Revenue of 1913

Re-imposed the federal income tax after the ratification of the Sixteenth Amendment and lowered basic tariff rates from 40% to 25%, well below the Payne-Aldrich Tariff Act of 1909. it was signed into law by President Woodrow Wilson on October 3, 1913 and was sponsored by Alabama Representative Oscar Underwood. This goes into protecting social welfare because instead of being 40% it reduced to 15% so it wouldn't be too much.
  • system of national parks

is the collection of physical properties owned or administered by the National Park Service. the collection includes all national parks and most national monuments, as well as several other types of protected areas of the United States. this is promoting moral improvement because it was basically protecting all nature places that could possibly be all cut down and turned into a factory.
