    National American Women's Suffrage Association (NAWSA)
    NAWSA was founded by Susan B. Anthony and worked for the suffrage of women. They did this by using forms of peaceful protests such as sit-ins and hunger strikes. NAWSA also aided in the passing of the 19th amendment.

    The "City Beautiful" Movement was a movement that advocated for more parks in urban environments to promote a healthier life for people. This was because of the unsanitary conditions of big cities. Such as waste in the streets, toxic air, and poisoned food.

This is because before this businesses used to have rotten products, improper ingredients, and improper packaging.

    Springfield Race Riot of 1908
    The Springfield race riot was a large civil disturbance between whites and blacks that started because of two blacks that were accused of violent crimes against whites. A mob looking to lynch the two men rioted in black neighborhoods. This resulted in over 7,000 people being killed and over $200,000 in property damage. This was ended by militia being sent in to stop the riots and also aided the formation of the NAACP.

    The NAACP is an association that was founded by Ida B. Wells and W.E.B Du Bois that worked to destroy the prejudice against African Americans by increasing the interest of African Americans, increasing education, and job equality.

    Triangle Shirtwaist Factory Fire
    The Triangle Shirtwaist Factory Fire was a disaster that killed 146 men and women combined. When the fire started the workers tried to escape, but discovered that the exits were locked. This fire caused an awareness of workplace safety and eventually the passing of workplace and building safety regulations.
