    The book begins with foreshadowing giving the readers a better idea of the Bennet family. A family of all female children, the Bennet`s are very excited upon hearing the news that a eligible bachelor, Mr. Bingly, has moved to town. Mr. Bingley holds a ball, and this is the first time the eldest daughters, Jane and Elizabeth meet Mr. Bingley and Mr. Darcy.

    Jane visits Mr. Bingley
    At the ball it is clearly evident that Mr. Bingley and Jane like each other very much. Mrs.Bennet uses her plotting skills to send Jane to visit the Bingley estate just as it begins t rain so that she becomes ill. Jane now has to stay at the estate, and this helps Mr.Bingley fall in love with her even faster. Elizabeth comes to help her sick sister, and she meets Mr. Darcy at the estate. Mr. Darcy begins to fall in love with Elizabeth, but she doesn`t realise it yet.
  • Mr. Collins Arrives

    Mr. Collins Arrives
    The Bennet girls` s cousin, Mr. Collins, pays a visit. His intentions are focused on marriage. He has his sights set on Jane, but after learning she is involved with Mr.Bingley, he goes after Elizabeth. She can not stand him, and denies his proposal.

    The Girls meet Mr. Wickham
    As the girls are at a street parade, Kitty and Lydia befriend a Mr. Wickham. His quick charm and warm personality soon win over all the Bennet girls, and he is considered a friend.
  • Hearts Changed

    Hearts Changed
    After being denied by Elizabeth, Mr. Collins proposes to her bestfriend, Charlotte, who accepts. Elizabeth is extremely dishearted by the news. Mr. Bingley also decides to move back to London. He does not think Jane loves him as he does. Jane is extremely sad that he is leaving her, but tries very hard not to show it.
  • Visiting Charlotte

    Visiting Charlotte
    Elizabeth goes to visit her friend Charlotte at her and Mr.Collin`s home. While there she realises that Mr. Darcy is visiting an aunt at a nearby estate. They share time together, and Mr. Darcy falls even deeper in love with Elizabeth.

    Proposal #1
    Mr. Darcy proposes to Elizabeth. Prior to the proposal, Elizabeth learned that Mr. Darcy had a hand in separating Jane and Mr. Bingley and he ruined Mr. Wickham`s life. She decides she loathes Mr. Darcy. Elizabeth says that she would never marry him, and he questions why. She then questions him on the things she had heard, and he does not deny any of it.Later Mr. Darcy returns to Elizabeth with a letter. The letter explains his side of the story. Elizabeth realizes she is wrong about Mr.Wickham.
  • Lydia Runs Away

    Lydia Runs Away
    Lydia runs away with Mr. Wickham. Elizabeth knows that he is not to be trusted, and is desparate to get her sister back. She happens to meet Mr. Darcy by chance on a visit and he promises to help her with the situation. He knows Mr. Wickham very well and knows what to do to fix the situation.
  • Mr. Darcy Saves the Day

    Mr. Darcy Saves the Day
    Mr. Darcy finds Lydia. He pays Mr. Wickham so that he will marry Lydia, so shame is not brought to the Bennet family. He also brings Mr. Bingley back to Netherfield so he will fall in love with Jane again. He does all of this because he loves Elizabeth so much. When Elizabeth finds out all that he has done, she realizes that she loves him too.
  • Marriage

    Marriage
    Mr. Bingley proposes to Jane and she accepts. Later, Elizabeth is proposed to by Mr. Darcy. This time she accepts, for she loves him dearly. The two sisters are married.
