    Andrew Johnson bought Alaska for 7.2 million dollars, continued Lincoln's hopes for reconstruction. He gave all rebels in the south pardon, and vetoed the Freedmans Bureau and Civil Rights Act of 1866. He also became the first president to become impeached for dismissing Stanton against the order of the Tenure of Office Act.

    Hayes signed the Bill Requirement for Black Rights. He passed bill allowing female attorneys to argue cases before the supreme court, signed Domestic Act. First president to take oath in office.

    Garfield served as the Quartermaster General during the American Civil War. He decided whether mail routes were being awarded fraudulently with tax money, and strengthened federal authority over the New York Customs House. Died 11 weeks into office.
