    Canidates host debates against one another to collect support form citizens. Then those canidates show ads over tv, internet, and blogs to collect pledges (money) from those who support them.

    The Primaries and Caucuses are debates that are extensions of the campaigning process. The primaries are teh final race before Presidential nomination. There are six types of Primaries:
    Open
    Closed
    Semi-open
    Semi-closed
    Blanket
    Run-off
  • Political Party Conventions

    Political Party Conventions
    This is where each political party nominates there official canidate. Many times the canidate is unanimously chosen before hand, and this serves as a formality.
  • Election Day

    All registered citizens over the age of eighteen can go to local voting centers and cast their ballot for whom they've been swayed towards thanks to all that campaigning.
  • Vote of the College

    Vote of the College
    After all the votes in the state have been tallied, they are sent to the electoral college. Whoever wins the majority, that states representative in the college casts that vote. The President is the canidate who recieves the majority of the college.
