    Conception
    The egg and sperm meet and then create the fetus that grows into a baby.
  • week 4

    week 4
    This marks the begining of the embryonic period, The baby's organs will begin to develop and some will begin to function from this time until 10 weeks.
  • 8 weeks

    8 weeks
    The baby begins to grow webbed fingers and toes. The baby is now the size of a kidney bean.
  • 12 Weeks

    The baby is about half an ounce and about the size of a lime. The baby's intestines will start to move into his abdominal cavity about now, and his kidneys will begin excreting urine into his bladder.
  • 16 weeks.

    The baby is now about the size of an avocado. The baby's legs are more developed. The baby's heart is now pumping 25 quarts of blood each day.
  • 20 week

    The baby now weighs about 10 1/2 ounces. The baby now begins to swallow more. The baby is now about the lenght of a banana.
  • 24 weeks.

    The baby's brain is growing rapidly and the taste buds are countinuing to develop. The lungs are developing into "branches". The baby's skin is still translucent but in time, that will soon change.
  • Week 28

    The baby can blink its eyes. The baby is developing billions of neurons and adding more body fat.
  • 32 Weeks.

    The baby now has toe nails and finger nails. The baby now has hair (peach fuzz) and the baby's skin is becoming soft and smooth.
  • 34 weeks

    The baby's central nervous system is maturing and the lungs are continuing to mature as well.
  • 36 weeks

    The baby is shedding most of the downy covering of hair that covered her body as well as the vernix caseosa that covered and protect the baby's skin during the nine months,
  • 40 weeks

    The baby's skull bones are not yet fused which alow them to overlap a bit.
