6 1/2 to 7 inches long in size, and around 4-5 ounces.
Hair, eyelashes, and eyebrows begin to appear.
Teeth continue to develop, organs mature, and baby becomes more active. -
8-10 inches long in size, and weighs around 8-12 ounces.
Fat deposits under the skin, but fetus appears wrinkled.
Breathing movements begin. -
10-12 inches in size, and weighs about 2 pounds.
Has periods of activity, as well as periods of rest and quiet following. -
14-16 inches long in size, and weighs about 2 1/2- 3 pounds.
Rapid weight gain continues.
May react to loud noises with a reflex jerking action, and moves head into a down postion. -
17-18 inches long in size, weighs around 5-6 pounds.
Skin becomes smooth as fat deposits continue, and movements decrease.
Acquires disease-fighting antibodies from mother's blood.
Descends into pelvis, ready for birth.
