The first month is when the mothers body begins to make amniotic fluid to protect the baby. By the end of the first month that babies heart beat can be detected. The baby is only the size of a grain of rice.

The baby's heart, liver, adn lungs are in place. Facial features are starting to form. The chin is attatched to the baby's chest. The baby is about the size of a cashew.

The baby's skin is transparent but the face is starting to look more human. Sex organs are being to form but the sex of the baby is still ahrd to determine. The baby is about the size of a lime.

The baby can now curl its toes and fingers, grip its fists, and suck its thumb. Toe and fingernails are starting to grow as well as hair on its head. Little fine hairs grow all over the baby to keep its temperature. The baby is now the size of an avocado.

All the baby's senses are now developed, sight, taste, touch, smell, and hearing. The skin is coated in a greasy substance called vernix. The baby is now about 10oz and the lenght of a bananna.

The baby can now see light and dark. It could survive outside of the womb at this stage of development. The baby is about a foot long, and the size of and ear of corn.

Muscals are now developing. The lungs and brain are both fully matured. The baby is about the size of a Chineze cabbage.

As space is getting tight for your baby, you may feel it moving less. Her lanugo and vernix begin to disappear and her intestine starts to fill with a green, tar-like substance called meconium. Her organs are maturing, and she’s passing water. Her skin is now paler and less wrinkled. The baby is about 4 3/4 pounds.

This final month sees your baby fatten up ready for the world outside. Apart from her lungs finally maturing, there’s little left to be done except gain weight. Her body is likely to have settled upside down with her head engaged into your pelvis. The baby si now about 7 1/2 pounds and the size of a small pumpkin.
