This was the first major battle of the Civil War. The Union and the Confederate armies fought in Manassas Junction, Virginia. The Confederate's victory paved a path to a long war that many did not see coming.

Apollo 11 Mission

Jul 20, 1969

This moon landing was the first time a human had set foot on the moon. The Apollo 11 was a mission to in which to get people on the moon successfully, which was something that had never had been accomplished. This date in history allowed for astronaut Neil Armstrong be the first person on the moon.

9/11

Aug 11, 2001

9/11 were multiple terrorist attacks. A group named Al-Qaeda led the the suicide attacks to multiple targets in the United States. Almost 3,000 people were killed.
