    Marcus finds out that Charlie has alzheimers. It makes sense to him because of Charlie's strange behavior. Like when he left Marcus to pay for a window that he broke.while throwing a football. this is indirect characterization because it shows that Marcus is kind because he payed for the broken window for Charlie. pg 8 (Korman)

    pg 84 Charlie says "I would have felt that it. Probably just a dislocation." (Korman) Marcus dislocated his arm when tackling Charlie and he hits his arm against the wall it goes back in. This shows he is tough to go do something to fix it.
    pg 23 it says "Gunshy. that had always been the knock on Marcus."(Korman) this is a direct characterization meaning he doesn't like to get hurt.
