    The history of the Playstation begins in 1988 when Sony and Nintendo were working together to develop the Super Disc. The Super Disc was going to be a CD-ROM attachment that was intended to be part of Nintendo's soon to be released Super Nintendo game. However, Sony and Nintendo parted ways business-wise and the Super Disc was never introduced or used by Nintendo.   • Playstation 2 was made

    Playstation 2 was made and came to America. When the PS2 came out every one had said it had much better graphics then the PS1.
  • Hardware

    The new PlayStation 4 will use a custom AMD Jaguar system-on-chip that’s similar to the Xbox One and gaming PCs. The hardware breaks backwards compatibility, but makes it easier for developers to create games for the platform, especially indie developers. The PlayStation 3 uses a custom Cell processor that breaks backwards compatibility with the PS2, but can play PS1 games. The processor made it difficult for some developers to program for the PS3 in the early days, but now it’s not a problem.
  • Playstation 3 was made

    After 6 years the PS3 came out. The PS2 and 3 are pretty much the same but it the PS3 comes with a build in blue-ray for movies.
  • Playstation controllers

    The PlayStation 4 uses the new DualShock 4 controller, which has a few enhancements to the current DualShock 3 Playstation 3 model. The joy sticks on the DualShock 4 controller are now concave instead of convex. This makes it much easier to grip. The trigger buttons have also gone through drastic improvements, making it easier for action shooters. Sony also added a touch pad to the top, a share button and a few other modifications to the grip.
