    Reichstag Fire Decree
    This law was put into place by President von Hindenburg. This law took away the freedom of speech, freedom of the press, and the right for people to assemble. This meant that the government now could control what was being published to citizens of Germany.
    This shows harsh treatment because people couldn’t tell any speeches
  • Enabling Act

    Enabling Act
    This law effectively created a dictatorship in Germany. This shows that the people of Germany didn’t have freedom.
  • Burning of “Un-German” Books

    Burning of “Un-German” Books
    Books were burned in Germany that were anti-Nazi. This shows unfair treatment to all people who weren’t with the Nazis.
  • Adolf Hitler Appointed Chancellor of Germany

    Adolf Hitler Appointed Chancellor of Germany
    In November of 1932, the Nazi party won 33 percent of the vote, which was more than any other party, in the German Election. Due to this, President Paul von Hindenburg appointed Adolf Hitler, who was the head of the National Socialist German Workers Party (NAZI Party), the new chancellor of Germany. This shows unfair treatment to many people from different countries because of what he did.

    Hitler became the ultimate ruler of Germany. This shows that when Hitler became the new chancellor of Germany, it affected everyone in Germany and many other people from different countries. The Nazis killed everyone that wasn’t their “Aryan Race” (superior race).

    This law was created by the German Government. This law took away the right of Jews to serve in the Military. This shows that Jews that were homosexuals didn’t have any freedom and Germans showed prejudice toward homosexual Jews.

    People could not be homosexual and if you were caught doing any of that act you would get punished or persecuted. This shows terrible treatment to people that liked their own gender/sex, and if they get caught, they had to face terrible treatment
  • Evian Conference on Refugees

    Evian Conference on Refugees
    Jews from Europe were trying to immigrate to other countries. Leaders from 32 countries met to discuss whether they should admit the refugees. Some said they would allow them in while others said no.
    This shows unfair treatment because some people didn’t allow Jews to leave their country so the Jews would have to stay in their country and eventually get caught and persecuted.

    First Prisoners Arrive at Auschwitz
    The SS opened a large concentration camp near the town of Oswiecim to be killed in mass shootings and worked to death. This shows unfair treatment to many people and the Nazis killed people who weren’t their “Aryan Race”. (superior race).

    Announcment of Death Penalty of Aiding Jews
    Anyone who was caught helping a Jew would be sent to Poland for a death penalty. This shows that people were not able to help Jews but when they get caught, they were killed even if they were not Jews.

    She was captured in 1944 and sent to a concentration camp called San Sabba camp in Trieste. After she was sent to Auschwitz.
