LESSON 1: INTRODUCTION TO INFORMATION AND COMMUNICATIONS TECHNOLOGY (ICT)
During this lesson, I have learned the different types of online platforms of the world wide web, its purposes, and its capabilities.
I have also learned about the different trends in ICT and the six types of social media. This lesson taught me about things that I thought I already knew about the internet. I was surprised that there are still a lot of things I did not know about the internet. -
LESSON 2: ONLINE SAFETY, SECURITY, ETHICS, AND ETIQUETTE
In this lesson, I was able to be educated about the different rules on how one should behave/act on the internet. It has taught me the ten commandments of the Internet or also known as the ten rules of netiquette and the different keywords that are commonly used by cybercitizens. After this lesson, I was able to practice the different do's and don'ts when interacting online and I was able to be aware of the various ways I can secure myself when I am on the internet. -
LESSON 3: CONTEXTUALIZED ONLINE SEARCH AND RESEARCH SKILLS
During this lesson. I have become knowledgeable about the different search engines and what they excel at in providing users with information. I have also learned the 4 different search strategies that will lessen the time being consumed and the level of difficulty of researching something. This is one of the most useful lessons for me since I am a STEM student and by knowing the different techniques in researching I will be able to narrow down the results provided to me by the web. -
LESSON 4: DEVELOPING ICT CONTENT FOR SPECIFIC PURPOSES
Within this lesson, I have learned the different tools and techniques in developing ICT content, as well as its purpose and benefits. My learnings about this topic have deemed itself useful to me since during this trying time, teachers tend to give assignments/projects that require students to make use of the different applications and software that the Internet provides us with. Being aware of the different tools eases the difficulty of the task and allows students to make meaningful products. -
LESSON 5: MANIPULATING TEXT, GRAPHICS, AND IMAGES TO CREATE ICT CONTENT
Our teacher provided us with different pieces of information on how we should make/produce graphic designs. She taught us about the different principles of it, what each principle does to the viewer, when, and how to use it, and the different images and manipulation techniques. During this week I was able to apply what I've learned from her since she assigned us to make our graphic design. I was able to submit my task with flying colors, for I have used what I have learned from this lesson. -
LESSON 6: PRINCIPLES AND TECHNIQUES OF DESIGN
We have learned additional principles and techniques of design from this lesson. We have also learned how to use these principles and that they are commonly used in webpage designs. Different website creation tools were also shared with us by our teacher and that we could use Wix, Weebly, Squarespace, etc in creating websites without background knowledge about it.
