The founding of South Australia
The colony of South Australia was found on the 28th of December in 1836. The South Australian coast was first explored by Peter Nuyts and Captain Francouis thijssen in the year of 1627. Although it was founded in 1836 there has been evidence of aboriginal occupation dating back to 22,000 BC. -
Founding of the South Sea Pearl (1870's)
The founding of the South Sea Pearl brought many apanese citizens to Australian land. The Japanese came in huge numbers as they were need because they were skilled divers. -
France Ferdinand assassinated
France Ferdinand was assasinated at Sarajevo in 1914. This was the true cause that sparked the Great War. -
ANZACS landing in Gallipoli
The ANZACS first touched ground in Gallipoli at 4:15 AM. Many of the ANZAC were killed as they took heavy fire from the Ottoman Empire. -
The battle of Verdun
The battle of Verdun was the longest single battle of World War 1. It was the primary reason that the British started the battle of the Somme. It finished on December the 16th in 1916. -
Third battle at Ypres
The Third battle of Ypres is more commonly refered to as the Battle of Passchendaele. It was also known as the battle of 'mud.' -
The official ending of World War 1
Germany signed a treaty with the Allies. Thus officialy ending the terrible and horrific World War 1. -
The hukou system (1950's)
The hukou system was introduced in China to restrict the fluxuation of internal populations. It was a record kept for household registration.
