Sopwith Camel
the strengths are that it had two twin vickers machine guns and it had a higher top speed than its rival the Fokker Dr1. it also was very light when it waqs empty.
However it was very vulnerable to engine failures and did not manouvere very well. -
Sopwith Snipe
The Snipe's structure was rather heavier, but much stronger, than earlier Sopwith fighters. Although not a fast aircraft for 1918, it was very maneuverable, and much easier to handle than the Camel, with a superior view from the cockpit - especially forwards and upwards. The Snipe also had a superior rate of climb, and much better high-altitude performance compared to its predecessor, allowing it to fight Germany's newer fighters on more equal terms. -
Hawker Hurricane
The Hawker Hurricane was the best british fighter plane shooting down the most fighter planes.
the strengths were that it had metal covered wings and it was very fast and it has a lot of very powerful machine gun. it was also one of the first monoplanes of the era. -
Hawker Typhoon
the Hawker typhoon was a fighter bomber which was good because it means it could be a fighter and a bomber at the same time. one of the things it could carry as well as carrying machine guns were 60lb rockets.it could carry a lot of fuel because it was long range. -
Hawker Siddely Harrier
It had its own new navigational system. also, the harrier was one of the only jet fighter which could take off vertically. it also did not use up a lot of fuel. however, it has been criticised for its high accident rate because of maintenance problems -
Concorde
this was a supersonic airliner which could get to new york in under four hours. it had many passenger concerns because it was so high up and the pressure there was. also, it had huge jets which propelled it forward. it was put out of service becaue of concerns and a big crash.
