    Part of time when Andrew Jackson wanted to move the Cherokee nation to Oklahoma. He forced them to give up all there east land of the Mississippi River and move to Oklahoma.The tribes that were all involved were Choctaw Treaty, Sequoyah, Cherokee, and Chickasaw.

    Time when Oklahoma was giving away free land. People had to line up and wait until it was time to go and find the land they wanted. Once you found the land you wanted you would put a stake and flag up on the land.

    In late 1896 Charlie Jim's twin got sick. Charlie could not recover and passed away. Jim was so devastated that he ran away from boarding school and quit sports.

The capital of Oklahoma is Oklahoma City. Oklahoma has a very funny nickname the sooners. An example of a sooner is someone jumping the gun in a race.

    This town was also know as the dirty thirties. This is a time when the winds caused very bad dust storms in Oklahoma. This also was a time when there was very bad drought. This lead to no crops being planted. This event affected Oklahoma, Texas, Kansas, Colorado, and New Mexico. The people from these towns realized they were going to need to treat the soil better. So they did soil rotations and planted trees to block the wind from blowing everywhere.

  • Oklahoma City Bombing

    Oklahoma City Bombing
    This explosion was a truck explosion. This happed outside of the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building in Oklahoma City. This bomb killed 168 people and injured 600+. The people who caused this were anti government militant Timothy McVeigh and Terry Nichols. But Timothy was the guy who set the bomb off. This bomb caused $652 Million dollars damage.
