The Cherokee nation was forced to give up its lands east of the Mississippi river and to migrate to an area in present-day. The tribes that were contributed int the Trial of Tears was, The Choctaw, The Seminole, The Creek, The Chickasaw, and the Cherokee

Jim Thorpe

May 28, 1887

Jim Thorpe was born near current day Prague, Oklahoma. Jim Thorpe was an all American in football at the Carlisle Indian School, and an Olympic gold medalist. He ended up dying March 28, 1953

Land Rush

Nov 25, 1889

Area was opened to settlement included all or part of Present- Day Canadian, Cleveland, Kingfisher, Logan Oklahoma, and Payne counties of the US state of Oklahoma. The first land rush into the unassigned lands.

Oklahomaś statehood is on November 16, 1907.

Dust Bowl

The Dust bowl was caused by severe droughting, and affected the states of Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas, Colorado, and New Mexico. A lot of people started to fly off over to California to get out of it.

City Bombing

Apr 19, 1995

A truck bomb explosion out the Alfred P. Murrah federal building. Which left 168 dead and hundreds more injured. Timothy McVeigh was responsible for this bombing.
