    The golf coarse annonced the expansion of there club that included 9 more holes making it an 18 hole coarse. They estiated it would cost $1 350 000. Protests by the Mohawks postponed the expansion till August.

    The Mohawks set up protests such as road blocks that blocked the Mercier Bridge that connects the islands of montreal with the south shore of the St.lawrence river. This lasted intill August. They also start a petition witch got more then 1276 signitures voteing against the project.

    -SWAT team launches tear gas and concussion grenades to break up the barricades
    people fire there guns on both sides and in the mayhem Corporal Marcel Lemay a police officer in Quebec is killed
    - Other aboriginal groups join the Mohawks on the barricade for the next couple of weeks
