Now for a person to be an Occupational Therapist they have to first get their masters degree and go through OT school. Later they must be supervised for six months with clinical experience. Then the last thing is to get a state license in order to be legally registered as an OT.

In the 21st century instead of teachings with hands on approach we now use technology to teach. In most sates of the US OT use ultrasound and electrical stimulations to calm and comfort their patients. Some practictioners use game systems such as the Nintendo Wii for rehabillitative exercises. IPads and iPod touches are even used for cognative retaining so that the patients can work in real life situations.
