The only reading that was mandatory in Brazil was the regular Math, History, Science, Portuguese chapter books. Outside the regular school books I didn't do much reading.

Bolinha was one of the only books I read on my spare time. It became one of my favorite books to read. I loved searching for the hidden objects.

Monica was a silly girl who always found a way to get in trouble. Her best friend in the book couldn't say the letter R, I loved reading his parts out loud so I could sound funny. I enjoyed reading comic books.

My father and I were involved in Cub Scouts in Brazil. The only material we ever read together was the manuals for Cub Scout.

When there was nothing to watch on TV I would get the Donald Duck book series I had and imagine the cartoons.

I moved to Texas November 1997 and started school January 1998. I did not know any English when I moved here. To help the process of learning to read and write I had to read a lot of childrens books and slowly move towards harder materials. It was very embarrassing reading 1st grade material while in 5th grade.

I remenber my teacher always referring the book To Kill a Mockingbird as Tequila Mockingbird.

I had already seem the 3 twilight movies but a friend persuaded me to read the series. I only agreed to it because I did not want to wait for the last two movies to come out for me to know the ending. I read all 4 books in less than a month. I did nothing at home but read.

After reading the Twilight series I realized that I enjoyed reading, and if I find a book I like than there is no stopping me.

I was in tears reading The Lost Dogs. I am an animal lover and both of my dogs are adopted, but I can't believe how anyone can do what Michael Vick did to those poor pit bulls. This book broke my heart.

I downloaded the whole Fifty Shade series and in 2 weeks I had finished all of them. After just a few chapters in the first book I realized this book was very intimate.

I made a promise to myself to read more. I find a book I'm interested in and read; once I'm done I'll repeat the process. I have read over 4 books back to back. I am very proud of myself.

My Boyfriend gave me Oogy to read knowing how much I love animals. Oogy is one blessed dog and he deserves the happy ending he got.
