Shane Arrives at Jack and Kayla's House

Shane Finally Starts Warming Up to Jack and Kayla
He talks to Jack about his training and Jack sees his father in Shane's eyes. -
Shane Trains with Jack
It's their first time training together and they get a little closer and go to Tenshi Lake against Kayla's wishes. -
They Leave for the Syndicate
It's Shane's first time back since being dropped off with Jack and Kayla. He sees Natalie. -
Return from the Syndicate
Jack and Shane have some male bonding. -
Kayla Buys Shane New Clothes
Shane is amazed by Kayla generousity and how much she really cares to take care of him like a mom. He appreciates her. -
Shane Meets Akuma
Shane is confronted by Akuma for the first time and gets knocked out. Kayla nurses him back to health and realizes that Akuma poisoned Shane to think that Jack and Kayla were using him. Kayla goes into story about how she's been watching over him his whole life and protecting him for his mom. They become much closer as a result of that.
But now that Akuma is starting trouble it's too dangerous for them to stay at that house so they leave to go stay at a hotel. -
Return to the Apartment
Shane realizes how good Jack and Kayla really are to him and suddenly feels like he has to make it up to them. He goes on this obsessive cleaning/fixing spree being as helpful as he possibly can. -
Shane and Jack Go to the Gym/Natalie Moves in
Jack notices the change in Shane after three days and sits him down to ask him what Kayla said to him that made him change all of the sudden. Shane just says it was a story about his parents not telling the whole truth that it was about his mom and Kayla knowing of Shane since he was born.
After breakfast they go to the gym and bond some more as Shane learns more about the life of a Fumetsu Warrior.
They get home to find that Natalie moved in while her parents were away at the Grand Syndicate. -
Shane Cracks
Since Natalie came Shane had been very distant and quiet so he finally cracks four days after her arrival. Kayla tells him that they're moving into a bigger house so he can have a room and not sleep on the couch and he just says "good" and leaves. -
They Move to the New House/Jack Dies
The new house is great.
There's a dinner with two mysterious men who say they're from the Syn. They tell Shane what he is, the "Kidate no Tenshi" and Shane freaks out a little and runs out to go for a walk. Jack goes searching for him later and ends up being murdered in an alley by Akuma secretly. Shane finds his body not long after it happens and Jack is pronounced dead. Kayla goes ballistic at the Police station with Shane and Natalie later that night. -
Jack's Funeral
At Tenshi Lake like all Fumetsu Funerals. Since Shane didn't go to his father's funeral this was his first Fumetsu funeral.
Kayla freaks out and runs after Jack's body before it disappears in the water. -
Kayla's Depression
Kayla is a numb zombie for these two weeks morning her husband's death. She won't eat, sleep, or talk, and Shane and Natalie are at a loss. They don't know how to help their friend. -
Shane Goes to Sensei to Talk About Jack
After pondering Jack's death for two weeks, Shane decides to go talk to his Sensei about his theories. Mr. Yamashita sends Shane to talk to the Grand Elder, Genovai (Vai), to go over his theories with him and hopefully get some help. Vai mocks Shane and Shane gets mad and goes home instead of staying the night with Mr. Yamashita.
He has an emotional release in the woods finally letting out his grief from losing Jack. -
Kayla Tallks/Commits Suicide
Kayla says her first sentence in over two weeks saying that she's hungry and they need laundry detergent. Shane is happy to go out and get the stuff and leaves.
While Natalie is in the shower Kayla kills herself with Jack's Jade Dagger. Natalie finds her dead and calls Shane right away. -
Kayla's Funeral
Same as Jack's but less drama.
Shane thinks he sees that mysterious girl again out of the corner of his eye but Natalie's guilty sobs bring him back to the moment.
Shane thinks about love when he gets home and how Jack and Kayla never talked about any family or WHY Jack had so much money. Shane tucks Natalie in and goes to bed. He has a dream about the girl again but this time it's beautiful and she says "I love you". -
Shane and Natalie Get in a Fight/Shane meets Keira
Shane and Natalie get in a petty fight about Shane's cleanliness and about what they're going to do since they're two minors living in the house alone. Shane goes to the gym to blow off steam after the fight.
Akuma busts into the gym and gets pissed off when Shane doesn't want to join him so they start battling it out and Keira saves Shane's life.
Shane wakes up to Natalie and Keira at home and ends up insisting that Keira stays with them. She does. -
Shane Wakes Keira from a Nightmare
Keira suffers from horrible nightmares because Earth is so almost poisonous to her because she is so pure as an angel. Shane wakes her and he's the first one to actually wake her from one of those nightmares so they have a moment.
Shane takes her to Tenshi Lake and he can tell there's something she's not telling him. When they get back Natalie's all bitter and the rest of the day is a little awkward. -
Keira Catches Shane with Cocaine
Shane had been doing it since not long after Jack died to numb his brain. Keira ends up spilling a little bit about who she is and starts crying because she feels like she's failing him as his guardian. They almost kiss but she walks out. Natalie was watching the whole time.
Akuma was watching too and after everyone goes to bed he sends in his two rogue ninjas and they kidnap Shane taking his abilities away temporarily. -
Shane's Gone
Shane is gone in the morning and Keira and Natalie both kind of freak out but get slightly closer when they have to team up to look for him. Natalie accuses Keira of starting trouble in the beginning and then later on tells indirect story of how she loves this "troubled boy".
Shane wakes up very weak and in incredibe pain next to Tenshi Lake. Gets beat up more when he won't call Keira.
That night Keira has a dream about Shane and goes to Tenshi Lake but it was Akuma's trap. -
The First Battle with Akuma
It's dawn when Keira and Natalie show up to rescue Shane. Keira fell for the trap and Shane tells them both to go home but they refuse.
Natalie and Keira have to defeat Phira and Kane while Shane handles Akuma and ends up not killing him, just taking his abilities away and leaving him to live and suffer alone.
On the way back Keira tells Shane that she has to leave with the Tenshi Masters now that her mission is done. Shane is upset. -
Jack and Kayla Come for Keira
Fake Jack and Kayla come for Keira but it's actually Calix and Isidor's illusions that take her and kidnap her. Shane has no idea.
Natalie turned eighteen on July 7th so she gets her letter of promotion in the mail saying that she can now take her test to become a full third class Fumetsu Warrior. The test was scheduled for that evening.
Shane also gets a letter from the bank saying that on the day of his 18th birthday, he will inherit Jack's whole fortune. -
Natalie Gets Promoted and Drunk
Natalie passed her test and gets crazy drunk at the reception. She hits on Shane and he's not interested so she gets mad.She bring up Keira and his father's murder so Shane gets really pissed off and leaves. She feels bad afterwards but she can't fix it.
She finds his hideout under the big stairs and passes out so Shane carries her to her parents' hut and tuck her in.
Sensei comes out of his hut and asks Shane if he's ready to talk and Shane nods. Shane pours his heart out all night. -
Shane Gets Taken to Vai
Vai questions Shane about the two men (Calix and Isidor) and Shane finds out that the two men work for Akuma so he finally realizes that they kidnapped Keira for all that time and he didn't know it.
He talks to Mr. Yamashita about it and they figure everything out together and make a plan. -
Fights with Natalie/They Rescue Keira
Shane comes home to a trashed house and Natalie in bed with her new boyfriend, Jeremy. They get in a big fight and then Shane arms himself and leaves to go rescue Keira. Natalie ends up following without Shane noticeing.
They rescue Keira and get Calix and Isidor locked up. They also find out that Akuma escaped from prison and is on the loose.
On the way home that night Natalie apologizes for the way she acted and they make up. Shane comes up with a plan to defeat Akuma once and for all. -
Shane Confronts Vai About Akuma
Shane gets Vai to give him a kill warrent to take down Akuma after some hard convincing and arguing. He leaves to train a little.
Natalie is surprised by her parents and they are pround but very disappointed at the same time.
Keira and Shane talk in the dojo and discuss the impossibility of their relationship. They falls asleep on the mats together. -
Shane Goes to Talk to Calix
Keira insists that she helps but Shane won't hear it and tells her to stay put.
Shane and Natalie sneak into the Syndicate dungeons to talk to Calix and Isidor but only Calix is in the cell they find so they get what they can out of him. Calix tells them about Akuma's hiding place and also Akuma's weakness.
They see Keira talking to Sensei when they get back to the huts and Shane figures she safer with Sensei anyway so he doesn't get mad. He tells them that this next Akuma fight he's going solo. -
Defeats Akuma/Talks to His Mom
Shane gets armed and ready to go the next day and it turns out Calix led him into a trap so he gets attacked by Kurai before Akuma finally comes out saying he was expecting Shane.
Shane mentions his brother and Akuma gets pissed off. They fight and Shane traps Akuma in electrum rope and drags him back to Syn. Frames Vai and everyone cheers and loves him. Instead of staying to celebrate Shane goes to see his mom and has a heart to heart with her. Shane takes a cab home. -
Shane's 18th Birthday
Shane gets his letter than morning and then has a small party at their house with Natalie, his mom, Keira, Sensei, and Jeremy for Natalie.
Mr. Yamashita talks to Keira out on the balcony about "mortalizing" and she goes back inside in a better mood and talks to Shane's Mom about her guardian angel. -
Keira Leaves/Shane Dreams of Jack and Kayla
Keira wakes Shane up and pulls him out to the balcony (Natalie hears and watches from inside). She watched them say their goodbyes and Keira disappear. Shane is so upset so Natalie goes out and comforts him.
That night Shane dreams of Jack and Kayla and they apologize and say that they send their gratitude in the form of a gift. -
Keira Returns
The dream jolts Shane awake and he runs outside to find Kayla standing on the balcony. They kiss and embrace each other and Shane asks Keira to help him cheat on his Fumetsu test that he had later on that night and she tells him he doesn't need to.
