Attempt to overthrow the government.
Hitler failed to overthrow the government so he spent time in jail where he wrote his autobiography which talked about the "master race". -
Nazis win power.
The great depression helped the Nazi party get more votes and soon became Germanys largest political party. -
First Camp.
The first concentration camp was buit along with nine others. -
Night of Broken Glass.
Hitler orders his army to destroy any businesses owned by jews and also synagogues. -
WWll begins.
The war officially begins when Germany invades poland and jews are forced into ghettos. -
Death of all Jews.
This plan came about by the Nazi officials that all jews in Europe should be killed. They made gas chambers and made them look like showers. About 5 million people were killed in the gas chambers. -
Taking over Italy.
Germany takes over Italy and forces the Jews to "work camps" and others to ghettos. Many jews in the camps were forced to write letters about how theyre doing just fine. -
Allies start taking action.
Nazis decide to move quickly because the Allied forces go into Europe. Many concentration camps were emtied out and the Jews had to walk till they got to the next camp. -
War ends.
The Allied forces reach all the camps and the Nazi soldiers decided to shoot everyone in sight to get rid of as many Jews as possible. On April 30th Hitler commits suicide and eventually on May 7th Germany surrenders. -
The Aftermath.
The liberating troops go into the concentration camps and are horrified. two-thirds of the jews in Europe had been killed. In October Nazi leaders were sentenced to death.
