Upgrades were made to the wireless network and network infrastructure through the summer of 2007 in preparation for deployment of teacher laptops and mobile laptop labs districtwide.

In July of 2007, all NKCS teachers, K-12, completed laptop orientation training and are issued laptops for the 2007-2008 school year.
