  • Sopwith Camel

    Sopwith Camel
The Sopwith Camel provided the pilots with unmatched manoeuvrability. It served as a ground attack aircraft. Sopwith intented to replace the Sopwith Pup. Vickers Machine Guns for the first time for mounted directly in front of the cockpit. They fired through the propeller disc with a synchronised. Its weaknesses is that It was tail heavy, which made it hard to manoeuvre. The guns were behind the propeller which meant it could shoot its own propeller's down

  • hawker hornbill

    hawker hornbill
Hawker Hornbill was one of the first streamlined aircrafts in the Hawker Industry. The nose of this aircraft is pointed which makes it streamlined and quicker. It was very fast. It could travel at 187mph.A steel engine mount and front fuselage covered with duralumin sheet. The fuselage and wings were made out of wood and canvas. Thia aircraft was unstable and had heat problems. It heated up very quickly. For Health and Safety reasons theyhad to keep it as a prototype.
  • Hawker Hart

    Hawker Hart
The Hawker Hart was a British two-seater biplane, bomber of the Royal Air Force. It had separate gunners on back of the aircraft. It was made entirely out of metal. It could carry 240kg of bombs. The plane could withstand the weight. The wings had steel spars and duralumin ribs, It was very fast and could reach up to 282mph. The only weakness is that couldn't handle very well. It has improved from the Hornbill because it does not heat up as well quickly as the Hornbill.
  • Hawker Hurricane

    Hawker Hurricane
The Hawker Hurricane was the most important plane in World War Two. The eight colt machine guns were inside the wings and made it a fearsome weapon. It was also easy to repair. Finally it was very manoeuvrable. It had aWarren truss box-girder primary fuselage structure which had a high tensile steel coating. It also had a constant-speed Rotol propeller. Both wing roots were coated with strips of non-slip material. Unlike the Hawker Hart it could handle itself very well.Guns couldn't reload quickly
  • Hawker Typhoon

    Hawker Typhoon
The Hawker Typhoon was designed by Sydney Camm. It was the fastest plane yet to be made.It was a British single-seat fighter-bomber. The typhoon was equipped with bombs every time it flew .The design of the Typhoon featured adistinctive chin-mounted radiator. It also had thick wings which created a stable gun platform and allowed for ample fuel capacity. The only difference from the hurricane was that it had rockets placed under each wings instead of guns. These were very effective.
  • Hawker Sea Fury

    Hawker Sea Fury
hawker sea fury flyingThe Hawker Sea Fury was built to go into Navy. As it was a sea plane it had to withstand extreme weather like thunder storms. Because of this it was well built. The wings could fold. It was the fastest piston engine plance Hawker ever made. It had the same amount of firepower as the Hawker Hurricane. The engine mounts were powered by a four blade rotol Propeller. The only difference is that its wings could fold. However at sea it was not very manoeurvable and also it had a large target area.
  • Hawker Hunter

    Hawker Hunter
The Haker Hunter was the most famous and first non propeller plane built by the Hawker Industry. It had an area ruled fuselage. The Hunter broke the world record for air speed. It could reach upi to 727mph. It was one of the first planes to be equipped with a radar to check for any planes. This could help it see if any enemy planes are coming from behind. They also had flight controls. They could control the plane from the inside. It wasn't easy to repair and was more streamlined.
  • Hawker Harrier

    Hawker Harrier
The Hawker Harrier was also another plane which was built by Sydney Camm. The Harrier could take off vertically without any run up. This was able by the rotal noses. These made the flow of air go down instead of behind. This makes it go up.It was armed with one Vickers machine gun and one Lewis gun carrying a maximum of 1,000 lb of bombs. The top speed of the Hawker Harrier was considerably high, it could reach up to 1,175 mph. It couldn't hold as many rockets because it will push it down.
