Game and Watch features a single game to be played on a LCD screen in addition to a clock, an alarm, or both. It was the first Nintendo product to gain major success. Gunpei Yokoi was the creator who gained the idea from seeing a bored business man playing with a LCD calculator. He gianed the idea of a handheld device that would act as a clock as well as have a game to play to kill time. -
Gameboy
The gameboy was released in 1989 and created by Gunpei Yokoi (also created the Game and Watch). The Gameboy was Nintendo's second handheld system and combined features of Nintendo Entertainment System and Game & Watch. Although the Gameboy competed with Sega, Atari Lynx and Turbo express, it was a huge success. What related to the gameboy's success is that different games were able to be played on the one game console by inserting different game cartridges into the console.
