It was rotated 90 degrees and had a cross-bar added to resemble two lunate epsilons. It was accepted by Unicode in 2016. Unicode: international encoding standard for use with different languages and scripts, each letter, digit, or symbol is assigned a unique numeric value that applies across other programs.
