Nelson Mandela began his studies of law in the University of Fort Hare. He prepared to be an interpreter the best job available for a black man at the time. he spent two years at Fort Hare then returned home only to be forced into an arranged marriage by his adopted father Regent Jongintaba. feeling trapped and betrayed Mandela ran away from home and settled in Johannesburg. while in Johannesburg he enrolled at the University of Witwatersrand. where be received his Bachelor degree in law. -
