    I purchase my first MacBook
I saved up all of my graduation money, drove to Washington DC with my best friend and purchased a MacBook Pro to take with me to college! I taught myself how to start using PhotoShop and Adobe programs. I made sure to enroll in a Education course that first semester that focused on Tech in the classroom! Photo from Getty Images

Student Teaching at a 1:1 iPad school
I was placed in a student teaching classroom where the students were a part of an Apple pilot program. They were each given the first edition iPad and NONE of the teachers were using them. I was able to lead professional development for the teachers I was working with and enabling them to use the iPads with their students. It was the first time I realized generational teaching gaps really existed around technology. Photo from Wikepedia

1:1 Chromebook Adoption at Warren County Middle
The school where I was working at the time, Warren County Middle School, was one of the first schools in the state of Virginia to embrace and embark on 1:1 Chromebooks for our students. I was blown away at the amount of resources already created and websites where previous paper subscriptions (like Scholastic) were making digital content available for classroom teachers!
