I loved this Book. It's about a young boy called Almanzo Wilder and he deperatley wants a colt. He has calves and gets to help father with the crops. But a colt is all he wants. One day he returnes a wallet to a man called thompson. Thompson has 1500 dollars in his wallet. Which was worth alot more back in those days. Thompson calls almanzo a thief. And some person sticks up for him and manages to get 20 dollars off him and give it to almanzo. Almanzo asks his father if he can buy a colt.yes.
