My first reading memories are from kindergarten. I could read at a 5th grade level and I remember my mom being very proud of me.
-
I loved going to the library in elementary school. We got to pick out puppets to read with and I also chose the Bobcat.
-
In 3rd grade I was in a group that would read to younger students and students with special needs.
-
I also loved reading at home. I would stay up past my bedtime to read Where the Red Fern Grows. That was one of my favorite books when I was younger.
-
I do not remember being into books very much in Jr. High. When we had to read a book in class, I spent a good amount of time daydreaming.
-
I enjoyed books in high school. I would go to the library by myself and spend the afternoon reading anything that caught my eye.
-
My dad lived in another state and I would have to go there 3 times a year. Reading was one thing that helped me get through it.
-
I stopped really reading for a few years. There were always books I wanted to read, but I never got around to it for some reason.
-
I started reading to my daughter Eilee from the moment she was born. I want her to grow and love to read. She is over a year old now and is always wanting me to read to her.
-
I have a Kindle now and I am reading a lot more. I love reading mystery and horror books. I have to wait until my daughter falls asleep at night and I get in bed and read until I also fall asleep.
