My first reading memory is my parents reading to me these small books in Spanish and they would also try to read my English books that my pre-school would allow me to take home. This really stuck with me as my parents struggled to read these books that are in English as Spanish is their main language. -
I began school and started to read. As Spanish is my native language I would read the books in English but if I was reading it out loud I will translate them to Spanish without wanting to, -
