My first reading memory is my parents reading to me these small books in Spanish and they would also try to read my English books that my pre-school would allow me to take home. This really stuck with me as my parents struggled to read these books that are in English as Spanish is their main language.

I began school and started to read. As Spanish is my native language I would read the books in English but if I was reading it out loud I will translate them to Spanish without wanting to,

I read the first Chapter book that I enjoyed and this really opened my love for reading. This was the end of 5th grade and this was the most I have ever read (until college).
-
I lost my love for reading as there was so much that happened to me after 2009 I could not bother to pick up a book

Once life got back to "normal" I read Wonder By R. J. Palacio and i fell in love! I began to read once again.

I love reading to my nieces and nephews. Seeing their eyes light up when we read and allow them to be creative, really gets them thinking!
-
My best memories are of reading with my mom. She is a book worm and it is rare to see her without a book. This is how we spend quality time and this interaction has allowed me to love and cherish reading.

During this time I am proofreading my nephew's work, while also getting him to read some more. Which has been a mission that has not been accomplished...

During this time life is hectic and BUSY!!!! I still want to read but I learn about audiobooks! Audiobooks are not the same as a physical book but it allows me to get my reading in while I drive, work, and live life!
