    First Book I Read - The Little Mermaid
    When I was younger I picked out my own books. I usually chose books by the cover. I was girly so I always chose princess books. I remember The Little Mermaid because I read it almost every night with my mom until I could read it by myself.

    I chose this book at a book fair when I was in kindergarden. I remember I never wanted to eat a lima bean because I thought I would end up with a bad case of stripes.

    This book was read with my first grade teacher. She read it to my class and I. I liked it so much that at the next book fair my mom bought it for me. I continued to read the book by myself, but I mostly looked at the pictures because I liked the color of Rainbow fish's scales.

    I struggled with reading in second and third grade so I didn't start reading again until I was in fourth grade after I got help and was able to read proficently. The Princess Tales was a series that I read in fourth and fifth grade. They were the only thing that caught my attention.

    My first book that stepped out of my little girl stage. I read this book with my class and I loved the adventures that the characters went on. This was my breaking out stage. This book changed the style of books that I liked to read.

    When I started middle school I had no desire to read until my sixth grade Language Arts teacher (Miss. McCain) recommended Cirque Du Freak series to me. Before I read this book I had never had an obsession for a series, Cirque Du Freak was my first obsession. I remember my friends and I would read these books in days.

    Twilight is the first book that I had ever loved. I went to go see the movie and fell in love so I bought all of the books and would read them in a week. My mom says that she never saw me for a couple months because I was reading. This book is what made me fall in love with reading. I reread these books for memories.

    After The Pact I wanted to read My Sister's Keeper to keep up with Jodi Picoult. This is probably the saddest book I had ever read. I loved it at the time though. People thought I was crazy for loving such a sad book, but I think it was a phase I was going through in middle school.

    After reading fantasy books The Pact was the firsrt book that is based on a true story. I remember reading this on all of my free time. Jodi Picoult had me hooked with this book. To this day I continue to say that The Pact is my favorite book because it is a love story and a mystery at the same time. It pulls at all of your emotions.

    Twilight made me realize that I could read book with 800 pages so I read the Harry Potter series for almost all of eighth grade. I think JK Rowling is one of my favorite authors because I love the pictures she creates in your mind.

    I contnued my obsession for vampire love stories when I started reading the Night World Series. I loved these books and I avoided anything that didn't have a love story because they were uninteresting to me. I have always been a typical teenage girl in my reading choices.

    I took a brak from reading my sophomore year and I can honestly say that I did not read one book that year (including the assinged books). I didn't start reading again until I saw the trailer for Hunger Games. I got hooked on that book and read it in two weeks. I tried reading the second book but I lost motivation again after this read.

    My Current Read- City of Bones
    I just recently got back into reading a week ago. My junior year I was too busy to read, but after I watched the movie, City of Bones, I decided to go get the book and I am currently loving reading again. At this point I think my reading style has a changed slightly. I still like books that involve vampires and love but I have a different tolderance for romance books now. However, as I get older I find myself more interested in history books such as Sarah's Key (on my list to read next).

    At this time next year I will be in New York hopefully studying fashion so I hope that I will continue to read my vampire books and love stories. However, I hope that I will be able to read more fashion books. I believe that my interest will change, but I know reading will always be apart of my life.
