My mom started reading to me when I was four years old. The first books she read to me were Dr. Suess. She would read to me and my siblings every night. That became a family tradition.

Midnight Moon is a very important book to me. My mother loved reading it to me, and I loved listening to it, along with my siblings.

By the time my youngest brother was born, we had moved on from Dr. Suess to the Berenstein Bears. Our family loved those books, and read them often.

I loved the Stinky Face books when I was a kid, and they made me feel closer to my mom when she read them to me.

The Giving Tree was also one of my family's favorite books to read. My siblings and I loved it.

Third grade was the year that I beacame good friends with Ramona Quimby. I loved all of her books. These were the first books other than the Magic Tree House that I read for fun.

During fifth grade, I read my favorite book series: Harry Potter. I'd watched the first movie before, but this was when I finally discovered that they were books, too. Not only was this my favorite book series, but it was also the first book that I'd read that had been turned into a movie.

My fifth grade teacher was a big fan of Roald Dahl. During that year, he read my class The BFG, The Witches, and Matilda.

I read the Percy Jackson books for the first time in sixth grade. Somebody in my class did a book report on The Lightning Thief, and that got me hooked. I've read the series twice now, and still love it.

The City of Ember is the first book I remember doing a book report on. It was one of several that I did in sixth grade.

I read the Twilight saga for the first time in seventh grade. I'd seen the movie before, but I had no idea what it was and was actually bored by it. My opinion definetely changed that year!

I'd heard people talk about the Hunger Games in eight grade, but I didn't think much of the series until I got curious enough to read the books. Boy, was I amazed! I have now read the Hunger Games three times!

The Inheritance series was last major series that I have read and really enjoyed.
