    Completed the Babysitter's course
In Novemeber, 2005, I completed the Red Cross Babysitter's course, and subsequently started looking after the children of family and friends. I really enjoyed looking after children, and would come up with activities to do and games to play to make the time fun for the kids.

    Nannying for the Summer
Shortly after taking the Babysitting course, I took on a position as a Nanny of two girls, aged 5 and 7, for 3 days a week during the summer. I worked 24 hour weeks, and proved that I was capable of caring for young children for extended periods of time. It was demanding work for me (as I was still in middle school myself!), but it further develped my passion for working with children.
