Our community voted on the following Portrait of a Graduate skills: Motivated, Adaptable, Problem Solvers, and Effective Communicators -
This team will check in monthly to ensure that activities are going as planned. This team would need to be created before the beginning of the 2022-2023 school year. -
We want to put together our student voice, choice, and empowerment into our final week of school. Instead of finals, our students will choose one project they are passionate about and will present to the community on the last day of school. -
We have developed a schedule with PLC time built in for secondary educators beginning next fall. -
One of our before school professional development days must be dedicated to house planning. -
The first house activity will begin at the beginning of the 2022-2023 school year. -
We would like to send every educator within the school to visit another school showcasing an aspect of personalized learning. These schools could include, but are not limited to, Northern Cass, Harrisburg, SD, the Ron Clark Academy, Bismarck Legacy, ext. -
We believe that schoolwide professional development needs to be had in the area priority standards. This could be given from Dannette Brown from SEEC. We also believe that one of the full PD days should be schoolwide alignment of standards and other days would be work time. -
We will begin the house events as a bi-weekly event for the 2022-2023 school year in order to keep our hours above the state mandated hour. -
Educators and learners will define what it means to be proficient in the Portrait of a Graduate skills. This will be done by semester time. -
A Time Waiver form must be filled out and turned in by March 1st in order to make the bi-weekly events, weekly. -
The first capstone presentations will take place at the end of the school year. These will take place in the 2nd, 5th, 8th, and 12th grade levels. -
Priority standards will be written and shared on the website by the end of the 2022-2023 -
By the 2023-2024 school year, we would like the house events/activity day to take place each week. This would allow 11th-12th grade students one full day per week to participate in internships as well. -
We believe that professional development based on personalized learning should be given throughout the 2023-2024 school year. -
The accountability team will develop skills to be evaluated by the principals and PLC teams to be used during evaluations for the 2022-2023 school year. These will need to be developed and shared with staff no later than December 2022 -
Part of the evaluations at the end of the year will be the personalized learning skills created by the accountability team.
