    Martin Luther King jr was the leader in the African-American Civil Rights Movement known for his role in the non-violent advancement of civil rights. He performed his "I Have a Dream" speech at the March on Washington, in which he called for an end to racism. This was accredited to the passing of the Civil Rights Act of 1964.
