    The Jackson 5 signed with epic records, and renamed themselves "The Jacksons" younger brother Randy joined the group during the time while older brother Jermaine left to persue a solo career.

    Michael Jackson starred in the big-screen debut "The Wiz" as the scarecrow. It was here that he teamed up with Quincy Jones, who was arranging the teams musical.

    Jacksons skin had been a medium brown-colour throughout his youth, but starting in the mid 1980s it gradually grew paler. Tha change gained wide-spread media coverage which also included rumours that he was bleaching his skin.

    Jackson and the other members of The Jacksons filmed a Pepsi Cola Commercial. Injured while spark gets Michaels Hair during the filming of the ad, he suffered second degree burns to his scalp and during the time, he undertook plenty of ongoing treatment. Michael didnt recover from this injury. Pepsi settled out of court, and Michaels donated the $1.5 million Brotman Medical Center, California which now has a "Michael Jackson Burn Center" in honour of his donation.

    Jackson was invited to the White House to receive an award from president "Ronald Reagan" for his support of charities that helped people overcome drugs and alcohol.

    1986, Jackson was diagnosed with Vitiligo and Lupus. the Vitiligo lightened his skin and the Lupus was in reduction. both illnesses made him sensitive to the sunlight.

  • SURGERY

    By the mid 90s several surgeons assumed that he had undergone varios surgeries, a forehead lift, thinned lips and cheekbone surgery. However Jackson denied all this and claimed he only had surgery on his nose.

Joseph acknowledged in 2003 that he freaquently belted Michael as a young boy and during the time Jackson stated that he was frequently physically and emotionally abused during continuous rehearsal.   • JACKSON GOES TO CUSTODY

    The Santa Barbara County Sheriff's Department takes him into custody to face charges of child molestation. He posts $3 million bail and flashes a V-sign before leaving in a black Suburban lead by three sheriff's motorcycle officers.

  • JACKSON PLEADED NOT GUILTY

    Michael Jackson pleaded not guilty to child molestation charges and in June 13 2005, he pleaded not guilty on all 10 counts.

  • NEVERLAND CLOSED

    In March 2006, the main house at the Neverland Ranch was closed was closed down by the state of california, as a cost-cutting measure. There were numerous reports around that time that Jackson was having financial problems.

  • JACKSON SETTLES LAWSUIT

    Jackson settles a lawsuit filed by former wife Debbie Rowe, who said he hadn't paid what was agreed to in divorce settlement. He retains full custody of his children.

  • MICHAEL WAS FOUND DEAD

    On June 25, 2009, Jackson died while in his bed at his rented mansion at 100 North Carolwood Drive, after suffering a cardiac arrest. he was found not breathing in his home by paramedics. After his death Jackson became the best selling album artist of 2009 selling a total of 35 million albums worldwide in the 12 months that followed his death. Michael Jackson was recognised to be the most successful entertainer of all time.
